Diversity at Intergen

8.3
8.3 rating for Diversity, based on 10 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
Women to men ratio is good, accepting of ethnic minorities and LGBT. Discrimination is not tolerated, and when problems occur they are dealt with. Sometimes the odd joke that can be perceived negatively, but if called out people are willing to change their behavior and apologize

I think the gender, race, and LGBT representation is good in this company.

Our company is very diverse hiring people from very diverse backgrounds in terms of people from different countries, ethnicities, genders. They are very good with recruitment, retention and promotion - unsure about child care and maternity leave

People at Intergen come from a large number of differing backgrounds which works really well.

There are quite a few women and a wide range of ethnicities. I am not sure about the other things such as child care and maternity leave but they tend to be quite flexible about working from home. As long as you are completing your work, then they are happy.

It is very clear that there is a high level of diversity. I guess it is embedded into the culture to the point where respect comes naturally to the extent where 'issues' are very hard to see (personally unaware of any at all).

No problems here. It's very clear that Intergen has a diverse employee base and doesn't discriminate.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
I do not know of anyone that is working in my office with a disability. There is an elevator in this building, and a wheelchair ramp leading to the main entrance, so I don't see why someone with a wheelchair could not work here.

I am not sure if there are any activities in this area.

I think they hold events that cater for general public and no exclusivity. They openly encourage anyone regardless of background.
