Gender Equality at Intergen

Back in March 2021, we introduced our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Working Group to the business, a team of 12 people across the business who have been appointed as the change champions and advocates for the D&I initiatives we identify in the short, medium and long term. The group plays an important and ongoing role in helping us to understand and focus on what we can and should do today and in the short term, as well as creating an ongoing plan, with a mandate to challenge and present ideas and recommendations that help drive our D&I goals. With this, the team are driving initiatives like Everyday Respect

Everyday Respect comes through the awareness and commitment of each of our people to take responsibility for our thoughts and actions and to challenge, understand, and call out any bias and inequity we see around us. While D&I certainly encompasses gender diversity within its remit, it is a much broader conversation than this; It is about making sure that, in everything we do, we are thinking about how our organisation can be truly inclusive for all our people, regardless of their gender, background, race or sexual orientation. Through targeted lunch and learn sessions across the business, we are bringing awareness and starting conversations within the organisation at all levels to enable change to happen where needed.

Our Working Group is guiding and driving our focus and the initiatives that will help us ensure that Everyday Respect is an everyday reality for every person in our organisation.
