To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in International Development you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a Bachelor of Arts with a major in development studies, or equivalent (eg Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Social Anthropology or Sociology), with a minimum B- average across the 300-level courses, or
• a bachelor's degree with a B- average across the 300-level courses along with relevant field or industry experience of an appropriate kind and duration.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree or equivalent, with at least a B- grade average in the 300-level majoring courses or equivalent

This programme is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Learning Support you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree in teaching, or equivalent
• hold registration as a teacher with a current practising certificate from the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
• have completed at least two years of relevant teaching experience
• have been selected into the diploma on the basis of an application which may include the assessment of a professional portfolio.

You will need to provide the following documents:

• a copy of your current curriculum vitae (including education and employment for at least the last five years). This CV should include details of your educational and professional qualifications, employment history with dates and descriptions of roles and responsibilities, membership of associations/organisations and a list of professional publications and research reports.
• a copy of your current practising certificate issued by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Maori Visual Arts you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a Bachelor of Maori Visual Arts, or
• have been awarded a relevant bachelor's degree and provide evidence of appropriate professional experience and duration, or
• sufficient practical, professional and scholarly experience at an appropriate level.

You are required to provide a portfolio if you have not completed a Bachelor of Maori Visual Arts with Massey University.

You must also provide verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University.

In considering applications for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Maori Visual Arts, the University shall pay due regard to indigenous systems for the acquisition of knowledge and shall apply a fair, large and liberal interpretation to the concepts of 'scholarly experience' and 'academic work'.

To enter the Postgradute Diploma in Nursing you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, and
• have New Zealand Nursing Council registration or equivalent.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies, you will have been awarded or qualified for a relevant bachelor's degree, having achieved a grade average of at least a B-.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Planning you will have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a master's degree in psychology which is approved as meeting Psychologists Board requirements
• be in employment (paid or unpaid) in a workplace where activities require engagement in psychologically based practice
• have arranged for approved supervision in the field
• meet the requirements set down by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as being a fit and proper person to be registered
• be accepted into the programme by a selection process including the below.

You will need to provide the following documents:

• verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University
• the title and abstract of your master's thesis
• current curriculum vitae or resume detailing your relevant training and experience
• passport size photograph
• brief personal statement (500 words or less) which includes your reasons for seeking a career in psychology and may list your perceived strengths and skills you will bring to your studies and training as a psychologist
• a copy of Criminal Conviction request letters if applicable
• a supporting statement from whanau/family (optional)
• contact details of two referees (they will be automatically contacted to supply a confidential reference)

An interview may be required - indicate on your application which location would suit you best if you are shortlisted: Auckland (Albany) or Palmerston North.

If your master's or PhD thesis has not yet been examined, confirmation will be required from your supervisor that your thesis will be submitted no later than the first week in January and is likely to have a passing grade.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Quality Systems you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a university degree with a relevant major, or equivalent, with a B- grade average or higher over the qualifying 300-level courses and have completed at least two years of relevant professional experience, or
• have been awarded or qualified for the Graduate Diploma in Quality Systems, or equivalent, with a B- grade average or higher, and completed at least two years of relevant professional experience, or
• have demonstrated at least five years of relevant professional experience, including completion of appropriate professional qualifications or equivalent, via a portfolio, and an interview at the discretion of the University.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health you will have been awarded or qualified for a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Science and Technology you will have been awarded or qualified for:

• a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with a major in the intended postgraduate subject, or equivalent, with a minimum B- average in the majoring 300-level courses, or
• a postgraduate certificate that includes 30 credits of courses fom the schedule to the Postgraduate Diploma in Science and Technology, or equivalent.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Social Service Supervision you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent,
• be professionally qualified in a social service field.
