The Comms Council has 70+ member agencies ranging from creative, media and PR, media to digital, experiential and social media.

Each year we conduct a recruitment programme inviting candidates from all over NZ to apply to be shortlisted to meet advertising, media and communications agencies looking for entry level talent.
Along with a CV, we invite candidates from across Aotearoa to provide a 3minute video ‘cover letter’ telling us what they are passionate about and why they want to get into the advertising industry. From there, we conduct a phone screen and will book in a 30min Teams interview answering standard pre-provided behavioural based questions. We send all applicants tests to complete virtually around PR, advertising and media. A shortlist is then selected to attend an Agency Day in Auckland where the shortlist will present to the interested agencies looking for entry-level talent. These presentations are not about what you have studied or what work you have done, its again about what you are passionate about and to show your authentic self.
