Recruitment Process

Cadetship Programme

The Naylor Love cadetship programme is about developing our future pipeline by providing career progression opportunities to help individuals develop the competencies they need to broaden their knowledge and skillsets and professional development. 

The cadetships cover the following disciplines:

  • BIM
  • Construction Management
  • Estimating
  • Health & Safety
  • Programming
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Services
  • Engineering

The cadetship is a comprehensive experience-based programme that supports skillsets needed to succeed at Naylor Love.

Cadets may be office or site based or a combination of the two. 

Eligibility

We look for motivated people who want to develop their careers to take part in the cadetship programme. 

Naylor Love offers cadetships to graduates who have completed a NZ Diploma, or who are undertaking or are enrolled in a relevant diploma. 

We also look for:

  • Leadership potential

  • Problem solving skills
  • Effective collaboration
  • Openness to change and innovation

The cadetship programme is intended to expand skills to enable the cadet to gain a variety of project experiences, therefore the cadet may be required to be mobile and work at any of the Naylor Love divisions over a period of time.

Duration of the Programme

The cadetship includes both formal, informal training and on-the-job learning. For new graduate with no previous experience, the programme will be for a three year period. For those cadets who have had some relevant previous experience, there will be some degree of flexibility and the cadetship will be dependent on each individual's background experience.

Training Structure

The cadetship documentation is captured though our online module programme which consists of 11 modules. Cadets undertake a wide variety of tasks that cover many aspects of the business. The content and complexity of each module depends on the type of cadetship.

Remuneration & Career Growth

All of our remunerations are based on up-to-date market knowledge. As part of our cadetship you will have the opportunity to move through our cadetship scales based on achievement of goals on a six monthly basis.
