- Understand design language and branding strategy
- Identify product improvement opportunities, by utilizing IBM Design Thinking and discovering pain points, through user observation, surveys, and interviews
- Design and present 3D models using CAD and photorealistic images using rendering software.
- Create mock-ups and prototypes and contribute to the design of production-level hardware solutions utilizing IBM Design Thinking and integrated development processes.
- Support enablement, marketing, and communications efforts
- Participate in and/or co-facilitate IBM Design Thinking Workshops with clients
- Collaborate with colleagues across all divisions of IBM
Preferred Knowledge
- Low-fidelity sketches and sleek, high-fidelity visuals
- Best practices in Industrial Design and/or Usability
- Mechanical design
- 3D Design tools (CAD) like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, and 2D design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Corel Draw
- Brand and design guidelines
- Low-fidelity sketches and sleek, high-fidelity visuals
- Best practices in Industrial Design and/or Usability
- Mechanical design
