Your Role

The IBM Quantum Design Research Intern will have the opportunity to:

• Work on projects related to design research, user experience design, and visual design. 
• Work to uncover insights into the worldwide quantum computing community, and share quantum knowledge with users from the first introduction to quantum through quantum computing research and development.
• Be responsible for completing design research projects from start to finish.

Salary & Benefits

IBM offers a competitive salary and benefits program to help employees build a solid financial foundation for meeting a diverse array of needs - health care, income protection, retirement security, and personal interests.  IBM provides a range of options, to allow you to design a program that meets your personal or family circumstances. IBMers may designate between 1% and 10% of their eligible compensation, up to certain plan and regulatory limits, to purchase IBM stock through automatic payroll deduction. The salary for this role ranges from approximately $105,840 to $145,530 per year.

About You

• Currently enrolled as an Undergraduate or Graduate Student in relevant fields.
• Experience in the fields of Quantum Computing, Physics, Design, and/or Software Development.
• You should have an interest in design research and understanding the potential of quantum computing.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights.
• Experience with research methods and activities that capture qualitative and quantitative data.
• Excellent collaboration skills with a persistent curiosity.
