Support clients, updating databases, Bug fixing, Reading logs.
Working on fixing bugs on existing projects and learning new frame works/technologies.
I'm the interface between our business and the customer, with areas of particular expertise e.g. Service Desk, cloud. change, networks. I work with an account team to deliver our IT services to a customer. This looks like constant communication with both internal and external teams, handling incidents, managing expectations, and ensuring teams are supported and meeting our contractual requirements.
I monitor the production support tickets that come through from our client and distribute them amongst my team. My role is predominantly fixing any issues in the database that can't be fixed in the application itself.
Developing new features and maintaining software. Attending to any production issues arising.
Being involved in a project means we need to finish a task within the time frame (Sprint). So as a developer, I mainly work on a dev work.
I work with customers to deliver a solution from our core product. I also work with different areas of the business to ensure the product is aligned to the requirements during pre-sales, the project is scoped correctly with the project management team, future requirements are discussed with the product team and generally helping and assisting the support and consulting team.
I am a technical consultant in training, which means the day-to-day responsibilities are unique and temporary. So far there has been a good balance of supplying enough time for task completion and personal development.
At the moment I am not on any projects and have minimal actual work to do. Once that changes in the next week or so, it should be a lot better.
Support for API platform
I recently moved into my role from the Datacom recruitment team so I am still learning lots. We are a new practice so it involves lots of documentation, shadowing, sitting in on client meetings and also working as part of the social committee.
