Competenz Job Matching service aims to attract job seekers looking for a job in a trade, in a Competenz sector, that may eventuate into an apprenticeship with a registered Competenz employer.

Training takes place on-the-job, so you've got to be employed in your chosen industry. An apprenticeship doesn't take enrolments like a university degree. Once the employer and employee are ready, we step in and arrange the training and qualification.

• To access the Job Matching service, register your interest at the Competenz website and tell us what industry you want to train in, if you are already employed, or if you need help finding a suitable job.
• You can also look for and apply for roles on our Job Board using the same link - https://www.competenz.org.nz/jobseekers/finding-a-job/. When you find a suitable role you can apply, upload your CV and provide some details about you, any work experience you have and your skills.
• Your application will be reviewed and, if you are a match for the employer, one of the Competenz Recruitment team will call you for an interview.
• With your permission, the employer will be provided with your details to decide if they wish to be connected.
• Following this, we arrange a suitable in-person interview. We can also help with interview preparation and tips for success.
• From here, employers follow their recruitment process.
• We also offer a Trade Career Work Ready program to help you decide on the industry you'd like to work in and give you advice and tips on how to find, apply and interview for jobs confidently.
