After about 6 months of being a grad, you are ready to move into a role. And they will move you to a role at this point as it is pointless paying someone to be an extra person when they are capable of moving into a team. Grads are the head of the queue to move to an SA role. Grads don't get a lot of exposure to other parts of the bank, so moving elsewhere can be tricky but not impossible.
