The Air New Zealand story

Air New Zealand has a long and proud history as New Zealand’s national carrier – from our early beginnings delivering trans-Tasman services with flying boats to the world-class service we provide today with our impressive fleet of jets and turboprops. More than 75 years of milestones, Air New Zealand wouldn’t be the successful airline it is today if we weren’t constantly looking for new ways to move our business forward. Every decade has brought exciting new advances in technology and fresh challenges which we’ve faced with enthusiasm, professionalism and a good dose of Kiwi ingenuity.

Today the Air New Zealand Group operates a global network that provides air passenger services and cargo transport services to, from and within New Zealand with more than 15 million separate customer journeys a year.

Our network expands from New Zealand to Australia, the Pacific, Asia, North America, South America and the United Kingdom.

Air New Zealand is more than just an airline. It’s a place where you'll feel free to share your big ideas and little suggestions, because they value your insights and contribution to their business.

And the Airband™, a digital wristband for unaccompanied children that tracks them at key stages throughout their journey. These are just a couple of examples where we’ve listened to what our people had to say and turned their ideas into reality.

But they’re not stopping there. They’re an ambitious team – always finding ways to go further, fly higher. If that sounds exciting to you, then you could be just the person thet need at Air New Zealand.
