Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering

Expand your employability in a diverse range of sectors by giving your undergraduate degree an additional boost. The PGCertEng supplements your current skills with the management foundations and industrial perspectives for an engineering career. With flexible learning options, you can tailor your programme to suit your diverse engineering interests, and opt to study full-time or part-time. If you're intending to pursue further study, the PGCertEng also serves as a recommended pathway to our masters programmes.

This 60-point, taught programme has a flexible structure, so you can structure your learning around your interests - either by selecting courses within the general areas of engineering, or refining your study to a specific field of expertise. This will not affect the outcome of your final award - you will still graduate with a PGCertEng.

You must complete four 15 point, non-project courses listed in the Master of Engineering Studies schedule. Two courses (30 points) must be from the subjects below:

• Energy Technology
• Engineering General
• Engineering Science
• Environmental Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

A PGCertEng in Polymer Engineering is also available. This programme is tailored to those currently working in industry and is offered as a specific set of block courses over one year.
