Applying to study health sciences from 2022

From 2022 all offers of place for undergraduate health science degrees will be made into the Bachelor of Health Science without a major.

Entry requirements

All majors:

Counselling:

If you are applying for the Counselling major you must also:

  • Be capable of meeting Children's Act 2014 including police clearance. Interview may be required.

Paramedicine:

If you are applying for the Paramedicine major you must also:

  • Be capable of meeting Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA Act) requirements and Children's Act 2014 including police clearance.
  • Hold a valid driver's licence.
  • Applicants with English as a second or other language who have not completed at least three years of secondary schooling in NZ will be required to meet IELTS requirements.
