Career pathways

The Bachelor of Construction is a 360-point degree. You complete 120 points from core courses, 120 points from your chosen major, 60 points from a compulsory minor in Professional Practice, and 60 points from a second minor (from either the Bachelor of Construction or another degree at AUT) or from electives.

You also need to complete a minimum of 600 hours of planned supervised work experience to graduate, in addition to completing all your courses

Year 1

As part of your first year, you'll study four core courses that provide the foundation knowledge required for the Bachelor of Construction.

You'll also study two courses from your chosen major.

Year 2 and 3

You become more specialised in your chosen major.

In your second year you'll also study three core courses alongside your major courses.

In your third and final year you complete a final core course alongside your major courses, and a 30-point project.
