This structure ensures that you can critically analyse and evaluate the research and professional literature, and begin your postgraduate study in business with an appreciation of the current issues and controversies in the field. You also design and complete a piece of supervised research in a business discipline.
Specialisation courses (30 points)*These advanced-level business courses cover the latest research and theories in your specialisation, and help you prepare for your independent research thesis or dissertation.

Research methods courses (30 points)*The research methods courses explore philosophical issues related to the design of research and the research process. They include training in research methods to prepare students to conduct methodologically rigorous research.
*In the Economics specialisation you will complete 45 points of research methods courses and 15 points in the specialisation
Research (Honours) dissertation (60 points)This piece of supervised research contributes to the body of knowledge in your chosen business and economics discipline. You should consult your academic supervisor about your dissertation topic and proposed research.
