At PwC, you won't just be part of a team; you'll belong to our whānau, a dynamic community of problem solvers who thrive on embracing differences. Picture a place where your uniqueness isn't just valued; it's the driving force behind groundbreaking solutions. We're not just about jobs; we're about unleashing your potential.

PwC empowers you with cutting-edge technology, personalised coaching, and the trust to make a difference. We believe that through collaboration, we unlock the true potential of our people, elevate our clients, and impact society. Are you ready to redefine success with us? PwC is more than just a workplace; it's a place where your authentic self meets endless possibilities.

in our CIT team, we're looking for Summer Interns and Graduates across Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, Pōneke/Wellington and Ōtautahi/Christchurch.

We’re looking for Summer Interns who will start with us in November 2024, and Graduates who will start with us in February 2025.

As an IT or Data Specialist in our Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT), you will be at the forefront of driving transformative change, leveraging cutting-edge technology and data solutions to revolutionise the way our clients operate on a daily basis.

Your role will be to create value by unlocking new possibilities, optimising processes and empowering clients to embrace innovation, ultimately shaping the future of their business. You’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact for our clients and be part of shaping the future digital.

As a member of our CIT team, you will quickly find that it is an incredibly diverse sector which offers a wide range of learning opportunities. For example, you will learn to understand and apply IT systems and controls, help build bespoke data solutions and make use of innovative tools to deliver technology enabled audits. You will work closely with leading organisations to support them in developing their business whilst building your technical skills, knowledge and relationships to accelerate your career within the firm.

A role in this team will involve auditing our clients’ technology to give them assurance that best practice processes and controls are in place, to ensure the success of their technology landscape. It will enable you to understand businesses and solve problems using bespoke and industry-recognised  data solutions to extract insights. You will gain a detailed understanding of end-to-end processes and how business applications are utilised, controlled and optimised. Through investigative client-facing work, you will have  exposure and regular interaction with a broad range of stakeholders and individuals such as Financial Controllers, Heads of IT, CIOs and Finance Directors.  You will gain a detailed understanding of end-to-end processes, test IT systems and controls and conduct audits covering (but not limited to) infrastructure, Cloud and applications. It’s an exciting time to be working in the world of technology.

As an Intern or Graduate you will be checking IT systems to ensure they are appropriately controlled by management tools and that the data produced is accurate - highlighting and questioning any deviations when appropriate. You will also perform various forms of data analysis through the use of PwC’s data solutions.

Within the firm, you will learn from our Partners, Directors and Managers, to gain valuable technical, commercial and people skills through a wide range of experiences.

Enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

We understand that you might not have extensive work experience, and that's perfectly fine! What matters most to us is your potential to learn and grow.

What are you likely to have studied?

  • Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Information Systems
  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Bachelor of Business
  • Bachelor of Business Analytics
  • Bachelor of Management Studies

However, we will consider any Bachelor or higher level degree, providing you are passionate about data, technology and change. You will have a curious mind, wanting to understand how data flows and what controls exist in the digital world of large and often complex organisations.

Does this sound like the perfect fit for you? Submit your application now!

Please ensure you have your CV and academic transcript ready. In the application form for this role we will also ask you to let us know if you would consider other roles, once you have filled that part out we'll take care of the rest so no need to apply more than once.

We are actively recruiting in Audit, Deals, Financial Advisory Services and Consulting (Actuarial).
