We know you’ve studied hard and might not know exactly what you want to do when you finish your degree. We understand it’s not always easy to find your way.  Our Summer Intern Program is an 8-week program designed to back you in this early stage of your career, to help you develop the skills, knowledge and network with which to build an exciting and inspiring career, no matter where it takes you.

How our Summer Intern Program works

This year our program involves Employability and Future Skills development workshops combined with an immersive business placement. You’ll not only gain insights into the banking and finance industry, but you'll also learn more about your own working style with a personal action plan. You’ll be provided career coaching to determine what you want from your career and how to achieve it.

At the end of our program, you’ll have the opportunity to apply and potentially receive an early offer for our Graduate Program the following year.

Summer Intern Program dates

You’ll need to be available for full time employment between 27 November 2023 – 2 February 2024. Our annual shutdown runs between 23 December – 7 January 2024 so you can enjoy time off over these dates.

Join our Personal Banking Team

Experts in more than money, we’re making banking simpler and easier with brilliant products. Every day we have over 3.2 million customer interactions which may be via our digital platforms, one of our branches, through our contact centres or broker channels.

The way our customers need and want to bank with us is changing. We’re responding to evolving customer preferences and are focused on creating an effortless digital banking experience. With the passion and innovation of a FINTECH and the resources of a major bank, our people are empowered to continuously challenge the status quo through automation and digitisation, across the end-to-end customer experience.

On your intern business placement you’ll support our continuous innovation, investment in digital, and transformation by working alongside talented professionals who focus everyday on making it easier and safer for our customers to access our services, home lending and everyday banking products.

This program stream is held in Melbourne & Sydney.

Please visit our website for more information.
