About our Engineering Grad roles:

We will have Engineering Graduate positions available across different areas of the business.

As a Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer in our Rolling Stock Asset Services (RSAS) team, you'll oversee the entire life cycle of rolling stock, from fleet planning to maintenance and future improvements. 

Alternatively, join our Rail Infrastructure team as an Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer, where you'll contribute to a variety of projects spanning rail-track, civil, structures, traction electrical, signals, and control systems. 

For those interested in civil, water, structures, geotech, or environmental engineering, our Rail Infrastructure team offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, from water management to environmental assessments. 

As part of the Graduate Programme, you will:

  • Assist with project work as determined by your manager relating to your qualification, based on the needs of the business
  • Provide generalist support in the delivery of projects and professional assignments
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the team to assist with project concepts, design and implementation

What you will need:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, civil/structural/ water/ geotech,) 
  • Have recently graduated (within the last two years) or be graduating for a start in early 2025
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  • A curious, proactive, and innovative mindset
  • Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Resident
