Orora

At Orora, we know our people are at the heart of everything we do.

Bringing together people with different backgrounds and ways of thinking in our workplace is a powerful source of competitive advantage in driving better decision-making, innovation and growth at Orora. Orora is committed to an inclusive workplace that embraces and promotes diversity. The success of the Orora Group relies on having the best talent with broad perspectives and experiences, who are aligned to our values. Here are just a few of our current diversity and inclusion activities and policies that set us apart from others in our goals to achieve a workplace that is inclusive and embraces all.

Women in Leadership at Orora (WILO) program

  • In August 2016, Orora launched a highly successful and tailored development and networking program for Women in Leadership at Orora (WILO) The program is designed for motivated women who are future-oriented, aspiring to create more in their working life.  Participants engage in a range of educational, networking and experiential learning activities.
  • Through this program, we aim to develop a diverse leadership pipeline by helping our women realise their full potential and develop leadership skills to thrive and succeed in their career at Orora. It provides a unique experience, grounded in the principle of shared responsibility, which aligns women, their people leader, mentor, executive and board members as proactive supporters and coaches of development.
  • In keeping with the Orora culture and values, we work together to achieve greater individual, team and organisational results.

Our partnership with National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO) in Australia

  • At Orora we are proud to be a Gold Corporate Member of the National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO). We share a vision of women and men being equally represented and valued at every level and work together to develop and support the pipeline of women working in ‘operational’ businesses or functions as they progress through to business leadership and executive roles.

International Women’s day at Orora

  • International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.  A great example was our Revesby sites participation in IWD in 2021 where the theme was “Choose to Challenge". Last year Akasha teamed up with Reckles Brewing Co. for a limited release XPA that was all about the power of Women, and how together we can #choosetochallenge inequality for a more inclusive World.

  • The Reckless Brewing Co. is a predominantly women-driven brewery on a mission to produce memorable, refreshing beers for all occasions which we gladly supported as all proceeds raised went to the Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre, a non-government, not-for-profit clinic delivering low-cost and affordable medical, allied and complementary health care and education to improve women’s health. Here’s a photo of some our team members at the end of a much enjoyed morning with some sample beers in hand to try at home!
