You'll learn how to translate breakthrough discoveries into high value products, strategies for commercialisation, key aspects of intellectual property law, valuation tools, and how to write a business plan. You'll also complete a six-month industry internship, which offers a unique opportunity to put your skills into practice.

The MBioEnt may be completed full-time in one year, or part-time over two years.

Students must complete 120 points from the following courses:

  • 90-point thesis completed as a research project and submitted during a six-month industry internship
  • 30 points from courses on the following topics: Science Enterprise Research Methods; Product Development and Regulatory Environments; Current Issues in Bioscience Enterprise
