Your role

With new projects commencing in 2024, Summerset will be looking for a new intake of Construction Cadets to proactively participate in the Summerset Construction Management Trainee (CMT) programme. Cadets will gain an understanding of the experience and competency required to fulfil the role of Site Supervisor upon completion of the CMT programme.

The Construction Management Trainee (Summer Intern) is to proactively participate in the Summerset Construction Management Trainee (CMT) programme to gain an understanding of the experience and competency required to fulfil the role of Site Supervisor upon completion of the CMT programme. The role and responsibility of a Site Supervisor are detailed in this job description.

Responsibilities

  • Project Establishment: As the Site Supervisor you will use your experience and technical management skills to establish the requirements of the project working closely with the Site Manager.
  • Site Supervision: The Site Supervisor will regularly assess hazards, determine risks and conduct regular inspections in accordance with legislative, health safety and best practice guidelines.

About you

Summerset Group looks for cadets who have completed a diploma or degree in a construction-related field, or who are studying for a relevant qualification.
