What is your name and job title? What did you study? 

My name is Max and I am a Graduate Civil Engineer at Stantec. I studied Civil Engineering at the University of Canterbury. 

How did you get to your current job position and for how long have you occupied it? 

I applied for an engineering role in Queenstown because it is the area where I grew up and I know well. Luckily, I got the job and I have worked here since May. 

How can students best prepare for an interview? 

Research the company that is interviewing you, know what they do and where they do it. Be prepared to talk about yourself, your interests and your background. Prepare some personal career goals and work interests that you have

Extracurricular activities and interests and life experiences.

What is your number one tip for students when interviewing?

Prepare some questions to ask the employer, this will show them that you are interested in what they do and that you are engaged in the interview.
