Who we are
As New Zealand's largest telecommunications and digital services company, Spark has a powerful purpose: To help all of New Zealand win big in a digital world. Our customers range from consumers and households to small businesses, government and large enterprises. Across all our services – mobile, broadband, cloud services, digital services and entertainment – we have relevance for almost every New Zealander.
Diversity and inclusion
Being one of New Zealand's leading employers, we believe that if we celebrate the diversity of our own people, we can empower them to bring their whole selves to work and unlock their potential. This enables us to better understand and meet the diverse needs of our customers and all New Zealanders.
Spark provides the tools, stretch, and an inclusive environment, so you stay continually ahead of the game and are always able to bring your authentic self to work. What we do has the ability to transform our country and it's just as likely to transform the people that work here.
Lifting digital equity is a core part of our strategy at Spark. We work alongside the Spark Foundation to address barriers to digital equity and are focused on connecting New Zealanders who are currently digitally excluded through our not-for-profit broadband product Skinny Jump.
Our sustainability strategy
Our approach is to operate our business efficiently and responsibly, and account for the indirect environmental impacts of our products and services. This includes the opportunity to use technology to improve efficiency and address environmental challenges.
Spark provides a wide range of services to our customers and as such requirements for application might differ slightly depending on what part of the business the role you're applying for falls under.
In general, you'd be required to register yourself in our career portal or Seek (where some roles are also posted), submit your CV and cover letter online. The hiring manager(s) will then be able to review your application and reach out to you if you've been shortlisted for a phone screen or an interview. You'd be notified by the manager if your application is successful and should you be selected, depending on the role and requirement, you'll be asked to go through the pre-employment check that covers work eligibility, credit history and security clearance.
For entry- and/or graduate-level positions, we don't expect you to know everything. In order to be successful, you need to be self-driven, have a can-do attitude and the willingness to learn, most importantly you must be passionate about the domain that you're applying for.
Starting salary varies depending on role and experience.
