Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
Great training in place. Run by very smart and competent internal members. Sufficient amount of training is provided to prepare for the job

Each rotation comes with its own set of specific training, and there is routine training during the rotations. Always very good and the resources they give you are very helpful to use throughout. You come out of the program very well rounded.

There are a lot of training programs (online) available however they are not as frequent as I personally would like.

I have mostly been through on the job training, and this has been incredibly helpful as I learn best by doing things myself. Therefore being able to do some of this training was very beneficial.

The learning curve in Insolvency is quite steep, which is why there are numerous training opportunities available for graduates to acquire the skills relevant to insolvency. The firm also actively encourages and financially supports graduates in completing their CA or CPA equivalent programs.

Varies depending on team. Audit and Accounting will have quite heavy-on training for the first few weeks, but other teams such as Data, Risk and Insolvency will have barely any training apart from a few modules. Continued development and training throughout, and company will support you through CA/CPA studies.

Roughly 2-3 weeks of formal training was provided when we first started as grads, which gives enough context before heading straight into engagements. It is also emphasised that 70% of learning comes from on the job training, so we are not expected to have remembered everything from formal training, and questions on the job have always been handled without judgements. My organisational skills and communication skills have definitely been improve significantly from having to work with many people in many teams, compared to when I was working for a boutique accounting firm with a team of 4.

On the job training is some of the most important training in my opinion. Support is consistently provided to junior staff to enable them to take necessary steps to learn but also help keep them on track. Pitcher Partners also provides a range of mandatory and non-mandatory training sessions, which is generally conducted over Teams to facilitate accessibility. My soft skills have improved exponentially since working at Pitcher Partners, this includes email etiquette, phone etiquette. Other skills include management accounting, business recovery and insolvency knowledge, data analysis skills, microsoft office skills, understanding and knowledge of many business areas including payroll, revenue management, asset management, tree management etc.
