As a Graduate in our Digital Lighthouse team, you’ll be part of a fast-growing practice with a strong global network, working on projects that make a real difference to New Zealand using state of the art methodology and technology.

When you apply you will be asked to select a preference from our specialist chapters, listed below.

Your Day-to-Day | Ngā mahi o ia rā:

- Assist with planning engagements and develop work programmes.

- Provide technically sound advice aligned with client needs.

- Develop and maintain client relationships to build a professional network.

- Stay aware of general business and economic environments for engagements.

- Liaise with client staff to organise meetings, networking functions, and professional events.

- Ensure compliance with KPMG and relevant external standards and provide quality assurance for team members' work.

 

Data Science & Analytics:

  • As a Data Scientist or Analyst, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytics to large data sets, developing and applying custom models and algorithms to obtain insights and drive strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Relevant degrees: Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Information Science, or another quantitative field and a strong problem-solving aptitude.

Data Engineering:

  • As a Data Engineer you will be immersed in the data engineering development lifecycle, working with clients to understand their data problems and architecting, developing and implementing robust data pipelines to deploy high-quality solutions. Digital Lighthouse develops data-driven solutions that solve our clients’ toughest challenges, and our data engineers underpin much of the data solution work delivered to clients, from turning Data Science and Analytics pipelines into robust production processes, to developing and deploying tools and platforms.
  • Relevant degrees: Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Information Science, or another quantitative field and a strong problem-solving aptitude.

Solution Architecture:

  • As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for implementing technology solutions to address the specific needs and requirements of our clients and internal stakeholders. You will work alongside our engineers and technical thought leaders to, design, build & deliver solutions that address our clients most complex challenges.
  • Relevant degrees: Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Information Science, or another quantitative field and a strong problem-solving aptitude.

Software Development:

  • As a Software Developer you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in several languages such as Python, Java, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript framework, work on cloud platforms such as Azure and learn about different development practices such as DevOps and Agile methodologies. We open several exciting alternative future career paths to you in web or mobile application development, system integration, technical architecture, cloud engineering, and test automation. Business Analysis:

  • As a Business Analyst you will work with business users to improve processes and systems, helping our clients deliver more efficient, cost effective, agile and competitive outcomes. This includes helping to develop business cases, working with stakeholders eliciting business requirements, functional specifications, managing business processes and acting as a liaison between business users and Digital Lighthouse technical teams.
  • Relevant degrees: Commerce, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, and Engineering.

The Opportunity:

  • Our Digital Lighthouse practice is growing, and we're looking for interns with a diverse set of skills that can be applied in areas such as: Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics and Application Development.
  • We work with a wide variety of clients from government to financial services and corporates where your voice will be heard through direct contact with management, executives and Board members.
  • The Lighthouse team is currently split over Auckland and Wellington, with Wellington focusing more on government clients.
  • We provide a range of training and accreditation opportunities to support your growth in the areas you are interested in. You will grow professionally, build expertise and progress through the grades where promotion is based on your personal performance and contribution to the team.
