Regular mentor and manager meetings ensure that progression is kept on track and that the work you are doing aligns with your goals. Every 6 months performance reviews are held where pay and promotions are discussed

I started as a grad, and then after 6 month you get a pay rise and then after a year most people progress to junior. The great thing here is that you have the opportunity to move around into different teams if you are not enjoying what you are doing.

Remuneration rounds occur each 6 months for the first year, and then yearly after that. As long as you are displaying genuine growth and meeting expectations, promotions are staggered to be met each year/two years.

I think the more involved you are with work, whether that be a project or something else will increase your chances of a promotion. If your area is a bit slow for a few months it is understandable but will also hinder your ability to showcase your skills and improvement.
