Recruitment Process

Application screening

Insite's HR team will review all the candidates and CV's submitted. Your information provided will be entered into the HR database for close comparisons and to highlight any information that we may need from an applicant. If all the relevant credentials work out, then the applicant will be shortlisted and contacted by email to schedule a phone interview.

Applicants that are interested (or better suited) in a position within the Thermosash Group (nationwide) will be connected to the Thermosash HR department, to follow the same procedures below.

Phone interview

A phone interview can be a quick and easy way to allow both applicant and Insite to assess whether they want to move forward with a more formal sit down interview. If everything goes well for both parties an in-person interview will be scheduled.

Interview

Interviews are held at the Insite Head Office in Penrose, Auckland. Depending on the role the applicant is applying for, the Managing Director, Operations manager and/or HR advisor would be in attendance. Any out-of-town applicants will be asked to interview via Skype or Zoom.

Securing employment

Upon receiving a verbal offer over the phone, an employee agreement and onboarding package will be sent out to you to formalise your employment. This can be read, reviewed, signed and returned.

Onboarding and inductions

All employees go through an onboarding and induction process to welcome them to the team. The staff will be inducted into the company policies and procedures, provided any equipment and uniforms, then given a tour around the office, facilities and sites.

3 month catch up

Insite doesn't forget about their staff! After 3 months a catch will be arranged with one of the senior management staff to see how the new recruit has been getting on. They will answer any questions and look at what additional training requirements, mentorship and guidance need to be provided.

Any applicants who are on visas are required to advise their visa status with your CV submission.

Remuneration & Career Growth

At Insite we tailor the employment to you, employment agreements will be set up and development plans are established after 3 months. Each role is treated differently and can be discussed on a personal basis.

Training and Progression

Training, educating and upskilling is of greatest importance to stay market leaders. A development pathway is provided for our staff, with a self-driven level of competency assessment system that assists their career progression. Staff are given performance development plans and placed on training to promote continuous learning.

New installers are offered to start a joinery apprenticeship with BCITO, while other disciplines are encouraged to further development through alternative courses and inhouse training.

Being part of the Thermosash Group provides opportunities to be involved with a much larger organisation, but at the same time, has the independence of a smaller business with a more personal touch.

Thermosash offer cadetships for select roles; whereby the cadets rotate through the businesses to gain experience in different fields. The cadetships on offer will depend on position and candidate availability.
