At the heart of the Fisher & Paykel story are people looking for the innovation that changes the everyday into something out of the ordinary. Our design heritage is founded on a pioneering spirit and a culture of curiosity that has challenged conventional appliance design to consistently deliver products tailored to human needs.

We aim to create moments of delight together in the heart of the home, sustainably enhancing the quality of people's lives, now and for future generations. Passion for this purpose is what inspires us to strive toward becoming the world's most human-centred appliance brand. Human-centred isn't just a buzz word; it forms the core of our design philosophy, that we live and breathe every day.

To design and build the best appliances, our Product Development function must be optimised to meet the demands of our growing business.

Which is where you come in…

We have opportunities in Auckland and Dunedin for naturally curious, driven students who possess the initiative and desire to apply their learnings to the design of luxury premium products.

In Auckland, we have two brands - Fisher & Paykel Appliances, focusing on Refrigeration and Laundry products, and Fisher & Paykel Technologies, who create new innovations using our motor drive technology, offering customers inventive solutions that make a difference for their products.

In Dunedin, our Fisher & Paykel Appliances Design Centre focuses on Cooking and Dishwashing products.

To fit the bill, you'll be…

A great communicator with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to contribute positively in a team environment.

Being a graduate role, you'll have completed your studies towards a relevant Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree (in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Consumer Science) or will have graduated within the last two years.

Our culture is one in which you can constantly develop, working alongside a team of talented and skilled engineers. At Fisher & Paykel Appliances you will enjoy great leadership and have opportunities for technical growth and development within a global organisation.

We're doing things a little differently for this graduate intake. To be considered, please apply via our website link.

In return, you'll get…

The opportunity to learn from some of the best in-market Engineers, a collaborative team-based culture, a challenging and supportive work environment, career development, and an opportunity to work with leading technology. We also offer flexible working hours, a competitive salary, superannuation scheme (over and above KiwiSaver), discounted medical insurance, life and disability insurance, and multiple corporate discounts with banks and retailers.

In Auckland, we also have an on-site café with subsidised (yummy!) meals. Our Dunedin site is based in a shopping centre, with plenty of food options nearby.

If you would like to be part of our team developing the world's next generation of appliances and technology, apply now.

Not a lot of companies are truly global – being under the Haier umbrella but headquartered in New Zealand is unique and opens up opportunities not just here but abroad. Ours is a culture where people thrive.
