This year we're doing things a little differently. Rather than just looking at a CV, we'd like to get to know you. Our quiz is a space where you can update your details, share info about yourself, and get to know us through our values quiz. This is where you'll find out a bit more about the values that drive us and have an opportunity to share your own.

Instead of applying for the role on our careers site, we'd love for you to complete this quiz which will mean your applications for the internship are finalised!

Here at Fisher & Paykel Appliances, we design with people in mind and the lives lived around our products. We aim to create moments of delight together in the heart of the home, sustainably enhancing the quality of people's lives, now and for future generations. This purpose is the very heart of why we exist, it's our reason for being here. It's this passion that inspires us towards reaching our goal - to become the most human-centred appliance brand in the world.

We are driven by our values of being trusted, sustainably minded, innovative, generous, and curious. As a team, we take a collaborative approach and have a working environment where all ideas are heard, evaluated, and tested against our leading goal - to be the world's most human-centred appliance brand.

We are looking for naturally curious individuals who possess the initiative and desire to apply their learnings in a variety of projects related to our luxury premium Kitchen and Laundry Appliance ranges.

This year, we have several Summer Internship opportunities available within Fisher & Paykel Appliances (Auckland and Dunedin) and Fisher & Paykel Technologies (Auckland only). Summer Internships will be from mid-November 2021 to mid-February 2022.

      • Electronics Engineering

      Maurice Paykel Scholarships

We are proud to offer Maurice Paykel Scholarships to students who meet the qualifying criteria and complete a successful Summer Internship with us. The scholarship, named in honour of one of our founders, will provide a cash grant to selected students to financially assist them as they enter their final academic year.

To be eligible for a Maurice Paykel scholarship, you must be:

A citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand and enrolled full-time in your penultimate (second to last) year of study with a New Zealand University
Available to undertake a minimum of 8 weeks paid summer vacation employment for Fisher & Paykel Appliances during your 2021/22 University summer break

Our previous interns have worked on projects that are now in our products. You can see some of these products on the shop floor, you may even use some of them in your home.

Not a lot of companies are truly global – being under the Haier umbrella but headquartered in New Zealand is unique and opens up opportunities not just here but abroad. Ours is a culture where people thrive.
