Join Deloitte and be part of making an impact that matters.

Do you want to make an impact on your career? Then start as you mean to continue with Deloitte. Where from day one, you’ll be doing work that matters, on projects that matter.

We are seeking a graduate to join our Deloitte Forensic team in Auckland with the ability to start within the next few months.

What will you do in Forensics?

Deloitte Forensic helps clients react quickly and confidently in a crisis, investigation, regulatory matter or dispute. We use our global network, deep industry experience and advanced forensic technology infrastructure to understand and resolve issues. We deliver the proactive advice needed to reduce the risk of future problems.

Forensic Technology is a fascinating career, combining the fields of technology, investigations, disputes and litigation.  Our Forensic team comprises forensic accountants, investigators, lawyers, forensic technology experts and data analytics experts. Our clients trust us to investigate complex, sensitive matters including suspected fraud, bribery and corruption, inappropriate workplace activity, misconduct and regulatory matters and support them and legal counsel through the litigation process.

Technology plays a key role in these projects.  Our team is required to forensically collect, process and analyse vast and varied data sets including email, mobile devices, social media and operational databases leveraging various approaches including machine learning.

The work is highly varied from completing covert evidence collections and occasionally assisting in the execution of search orders/warrants, extracting data from mobile devices, dealing with exotic file types, retrieving and analysing ‘deleted’ data, querying and visualising data sets, and working with leading New Zealand law firms on High Court litigation.  As a consultant within our team, you will actively seek to meet such challenges with energy, creativity and enthusiasm.

We have class-leading forensic technology infrastructure and tools in New Zealand, including a purpose-built forensic lab in Auckland. We enjoy excellent relationships with Deloitte Forensic teams globally.  Our people are sought out to assist on large global matters from time to time.
