What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Pay isn't good compared to over grad level jobs in finance.
Graduate, Auckland
Not great
Graduate, Auckland
They come annually but they start you on a small pay so the annual bonuses are nice but don't make a huge improvement to potential savings and affording a family lifestyle
Midlevel, Hamilton
Compared to other jobs in the field - the pay is slightly lower. However, we do get extra bonuses and my studies are paid for by the firm which adds up. The work environment is good so the pay is not a huge concern for me.
Graduate, Rotorua
I understand we are training, but as soon as people at my level work a few hours of overtime we risk falling below minimum wage. For a job that requires a university degree, that seems ridiculous.
Graduate, Wellington
As a graduate, I don't really have many thoughts on my pay to be honest. It is what it is really. I have not received any bonuses, nor do I expect to.
Graduate, Wellington
The pay is low and we sometimes go below minimum with the hours worked
Graduate, Auckland
Minimal for the first 3 years.
Graduate, Auckland
Bonuses seem to be paid more based on team performance rather than individual performance. I have not yet received a bonus, but am aware that other graduates received bonuses based on team performance.
Graduate, Christchurch
It could be more, however, it is enough to live on and I anticipate more in future years as my knowledge and experience grows.
Graduate, Wellington
They have increased the salary bands for junior staff, but it could be better. Especially if you compare it to graduates/junior staff in the public sector.
Graduate, Wellington
It is good, slow start but the jumps in between are substantial
Graduate, Auckland
The large gap between what they pay us and what they bill us out at makes it hard to put a value on your time.
Graduate, Dunedin
Very standard pay for a graduate role
Graduate, Auckland
On par or just behind other big four accounting firms
Graduate, Auckland
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Birthday Leave - once a year you have a day available to take your birthday off
Midlevel, Hamilton
Monthly firm drinks, access to showers.
Graduate, Wellington
Might be random but the Wellington offers sparkling water on tap if you are into that. The social club is cool! The other week they put on a movie night at a cinema here and my partner could come too. Was a nice night out!
Graduate, Wellington
Mileage expenses
Graduate, Auckland
Firm drinks / Business unit drinks twice a month providing dinner.
Graduate, Auckland
Flexible working
Midlevel, Auckland
No unusual perks. Perks seem to be fairly standard.
Graduate, Christchurch
Monthly firm drinks, events such as quiz and movie nights hosted by the social club, department morning teas, free fruit daily, flu vaccines in winter
Graduate, Wellington
Where there is availability, sometimes we get access to free rugby tickets etc. There's also a lot of free food at certain functions and projects also have few team dinners that are fully paid for.
Graduate, Wellington
Lots of free food provided at meetings, lots of discounts but could get more. Travel a lot for work.
