DO WORK THAT MATTERS

Software Engineering – Cyber Security – Quantum Computing – Insights & Analytics – Data Science – Mobile Development – Cryptocurrencies – Pentesting – Emerging Technologies – Augmented/Virtual Realities – Automation & Robotics – Change

We're Enterprise Services (ES) and we're responsible for the world-leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank; from innovative product platforms for our customers, including Australia's #1 mobile banking app, to essential tools within our business.
We are one of the largest tech shops in Australia and believe in doing as much as we can in-house, with limited outsourcing. This delivers maximum opportunity to grow and develop transferable capability in Lean, Agile, Experimentation, Analytics and Design Thinking.

You'll have options to work with our Engineering teams, Automation and Robotics, Software House, Mobile Development, Data Science, Cyber Security or Delivery, Operations and Business Improvement teams, so whether you're a high achieving Computer Scientist, Networking Engineer or a talented, creative thinker or problem solver from a non-technical discipline with a strong desire to work in agile project teams in an innovative environment, you'll have the opportunity to choose from several roles that might involve (but not limited to):

  • Designing, developing, deploying, enhancing or supporting technology systems
  • Conceiving and building engaging web applications and mobile apps
  • Enhancing our customers' digital futures through world-leading applications and 'contactless' technology
  • Applying state of the art statistical modelling, machine learning and data mining techniques
  • Python development related to malware detection – gain unique exposure to applied cybersecurity testing, response, forensics and protection
  • Helping translate business requirements into IT functionality and working with stakeholders to ensure all their needs are being met

Our innovative and market-leading technology solutions provide invaluable support for our clients as we help them lead their businesses to tomorrow. Our team is energised about what we do, what we've achieved and the momentum behind where we're headed, and we want you to join us on our journey!

WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU

Our technology teams all work in Scrum. You will be working in teams that are energetic, fast-paced and solution focussed. We're looking for someone who is an analytical thinker, has a curious mind and is innovative.

You don't have to be a technology graduate to fit into our technology team – we have a range of people from backgrounds in law, science to arts disciplines all making a significant contribution to the Bank.

WE INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE

When you join our Graduate Program, you join as a full-time permanent employee. So you know we're invested in you to transition from full-time study to full-time life!

Your development centres around 4 key elements:

  • Shine: Contribute from day one by working on real projects that impact our business and our customers, within Australia's largest bank.
  • Develop: Participate in market-leading training to develop your technical and soft skills. This will help with the transition to full-time work from university and ensure you excel in your immediate and future roles.
  • Network: Build networks and friendships through unparalleled access to senior leaders, project leads and program sponsors, enhancing your personal and business profile.
  • Contribute: Give back to the community through graduate initiatives, driving positive change across our organisation and improving the wellbeing of our graduate cohort.

Our 18-month program, offers a tailored experience with two 9 month rotations allowing options across the full gamut of our Technology & Operations. Through these rotations, you'll gain an in-depth understanding of one of the largest and most complex technology environments in Australia, have continuous learning opportunities and be able to develop both your technical knowledge and commercial acumen.
You'll gain access to important technical and development resources to help you expand your skills. We are future-focused with a high-performance culture so continually building our people capability is integral to what we do. We have an inclusive culture where sharing ideas is encouraged amongst our community of talented and diverse people.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • You are an Australian/New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of your application (essential);
  • You are in your final year of your university degree or have graduated within the last 12 months (essential); and
  • You are achieving at least a credit average across your university degree (essential).

At CommBank, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce reflecting the customers, businesses and communities we serve. As a values-driven organisation, we nurture and support our people; through focussing on skill and talent development, collaboration, flexibility and internal promotion. With service in mind at every touchpoint, we take accountability for the role we play in securing and enhancing the financial wellbeing of people, businesses and communities. At CommBank you can be you.
