2019 Achiever Programme opens 29 July.
Submission of online applications close on 11 August 2019 at 11:59 pm (AEST).
Transitioning from study into the workforce can be challenging, especially without any relevant experience. Luckily, the Achiever Programme gives you the opportunity to apply for valuable paid* work experience with one of our participating employers during your summer break to get ahead.
Who is the Achiever Programme applicable for?
The Achiever Programme is open to students currently undertaking tertiary studies (including university, polytechnic and TAFE students) in business, commerce or accounting in either Australia or New Zealand and who are looking for paid* work experience opportunities over their summer break. Achiever placements range between 3 - 12 weeks of work experience with one of our participating employers between November 2019 and March 2020.
In 2018, more than 70% of students1 who completed a placement through the Achiever Programme continued with their employer in an ongoing position post their work placement.
*The salary for student placements is at the discretion of employers and does vary firm to firm.

"Completing the Achiever Programme was an excellent experience and exceeded my expectations. I gained a lot of valuable skills, learning, and had the opportunity to network with so many great individuals, student peers and employers. I was lucky enough to be offered an ongoing undergraduate position at my placement, so I would definitely say that the Achiever Programme has kickstarted my career."

Applications for the 2019 Achiever Programme will open on 29 July 2019. The recruitment process is comparable to various graduate recruitment programmes and consists of:
STAGE 1: ONLINE APPLICATION SUBMISSION (CLOSES ON 11 AUGUST 2019)
Ensure you have the required documents ready when you apply. This includes:
***Only applicable if you are an international student. You will require a minimum overall score depending on the test taken as follows; IELTS 7.0, PTE 65, TOEFL 94 or CAE 185. You should have undertaken the English test within 3 years from the date of submission of this application.
STAGE 2: PSYCHOMETRIC TESTING
Once we've reviewed your online application and if we have progressed you to stage 2, you will receive an invitation to participate in a gamified cognitive and emotional intelligence test.
Please note: you will have three (3) days to complete your testing. You will receive an invite for the testing between 29 July 2019 and 12 August 2019. The sooner you complete your online test, the sooner we may be able to progress your application to the next stage. If you are unable to complete your assessment in the specified timeframe, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to consider your application.
STAGE 3: VIDEO INTERVIEW
If you meet the requirements of the online testing, you may be progressed onto stage 3.
The video interview will allow us to understand you better, so let your personality shine through. The sooner you submit your video interview, the sooner we may be able to progress you to the next stage.
If you are unable to submit your interview within the specified timeframe, we will be unable to review your submission and we suggest not leaving the interview submission to the last minute.
STAGE 4: ATTEND ONE OF OUR ASSESSMENT CENTRES / PHONE INTERVIEW
Based on your psychometric testing and the video interview, we may invite you to attend one of our assessment centres or a phone interview dependent on your location. At the assessment centre, you'll get the opportunity to participate in a range of activities to showcase your skills.
Assessment centres/phone interviews for all regions will be held between 30 August 2019 to 6 September 2019. Please ensure you have these dates marked in your calendar and are available to attend if you do receive an invite.
STAGE 5: FACE-TO-FACE INTERVIEW WITH A PARTICIPATING EMPLOYER
If you make it to the final stage of the recruitment process, you will be required to attend a face-to-face interview with the employer you have been matched with.
These will be held between 16 September 2019 to 27 September 2019.
The team at Chartered Accountants ANZ will be reviewing your submission at each of the stages before progressing you to the next stage. We strongly advise you to complete the stages that you are progressed to at the earliest possible as we can’t guarantee review of submissions that are received after the cut-off date for each of the stages.
It is important that you understand that Chartered Accountants ANZ is under no obligation to progress you through any or all stages of the application process.
Ideal candidates will possess good communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, time management skills, an eagerness to learn and a strong desire to work in the industry.
