Training & Personal Development at Capgemini Australia and New Zealand

9.6
9.6 rating for Training, based on 14 reviews
Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
First there is the onboarding program where we are to learn core consulting skills from masterclasses to really get us settled in the environment. Then we are handed off to the 'Institute' an accelerated program where get coaching and more in depth training for our specialities. From all the trainings I have become much more skilled as a consulting, but nothing compares to the growth in soft skills it has given me which I believe was the most helpful and rewarding.

Great training available both by the grad program team and by my business line.

The graduate program starts with a 2 week learning and development series which incorporates just about every part of the business. We get a really good flavour of what's to come. The Invent grads then have a 3 month dedicated Institute program that has tailored training and development workshops delivered by fellow Invent employees. The company L&D is quite heavy on case studies that replicate real life consulting scenarios.

In the first two weeks, there is a training program to introduce us to the company and teach us various different skills related to topics such as consulting, business analysis, client engagements, public speaking and presentations (etc.). Afterwards, you are offered training programs (L&D) in various forms - your specific team may have free courses for you, you may seek out courses when you have spare time, there are optional company-wide sessions on various topics, some mandatory trainings, and there are graduate masterclasses run by the graduate manager, which cover various topics. When you first join, you may also be offered shadowing opportunities, minor roles in billable projects, or internal projects to offer you hands-on learning opportunities.

The company offers great training and development programs. During the initial induction period, we were able to receive detailed training on key skills to become a consultant. Apart from this, we also have monthly soft-skill trainings sessions such as how to network, how to have good work-life balance.

There was a great initial two week general consulting training which was amazing followed by further specific training for my area in the company

We have a dedicated learning and development team that sets yearly targets in terms of learning and development hours that need to be completed by individuals. I have so far picked up a Scrum certification. Done training on Jira and Confluence. Currently pursuing certification in AZ900.

One of the best things Capgemini does is up-skill and help their employees in training, learning & development. I've taken refresher courses on UX/UI, user experience and human-centred design.

Lots of workshops and trainings in a large breadth of topics

Capgemini typically offers a mix of formal and on-the-job training, covering technical, leadership, and industry-specific skills. These programs encourage professional growth and development, enhancing employees' expertise and marketability. Specific skills acquired depend on job roles and projects.
