Women in Business Luncheon: Presented by UQBA, QUT WIB & CPA
The gender pay gap for full-time employees in ASX 200 organisations is 28.7%.
The full-time average weekly ordinary earnings for women are 15.3% less than for men.
95% of efforts towards helping women gain equality in the workforce have been proven ineffective.
Australian men avoid asking for additional leave when they've had a child to avoid discrimination in their careers.
This year the University of Queensland Business Association and the QUT Women In Business Group in conjunction with CPA Australia are thrilled to announce their joint venture in the form of a Women in Business Luncheon!
The event is a must-attend in the calendar of any student planning on a career in the corporate world. Hear from five industry leaders – both male and female - about their experiences and why they see achieving equality as an important goal in today's world. Gaining a deeper understanding will help you successfully navigate your own career path and build an informed view of the current position and the potential for positive change.
The event will be held on the 6th of September at 'Figs on Sylvan' from 10.45 am to 2.45 pm. As is custom, the format will be a High Tea, with ample opportunity for students to network and discuss their ideas with both panel members and corporate representatives.
Member ticket: $20
Non-member ticket: $25 (includes membership)
Tickets are non-refundable, however, they can be transferred into a different name if on sold by the original seller.
