Work with the people working for Auckland

Ehara taku toa, he takitahi, he toa takitini - My success should not be bestowed onto me alone, as it was not individual success but success of a collective

He angitutanga mutunga kore mō te paetahi pēnā i a koe: Endless possibilities for a graduate like you at Auckland Council

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata.
What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people.

In People and Performance, people are at the heart of what we do. We value a positive, inclusive culture and we work together towards common goals. Our agreed behaviours and values guide us in how we work and interact with others and help us to strive for excellence. We act in a way that builds trust and values contributions. You will be a part of a division responsible for all people and capability functions across Auckland Council, along with driving all aspects of corporate strategy and culture development.

In this two-year programme, you'll have the opportunity to rotate through key teams within the People and Performance directorate which, depending on business needs, could include Business Partnering, Strategy and Capability, Employment Relations, Organisational Development, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Recruitment and Talent and People Operations. Each rotation will include a mix of on-the-job learning and projects, alongside work allocation typical for the area in which they rotate.
