Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
It takes hard work and dedication. Generally, the promotions follow years of experience and pay so I am pretty neutral on this subject.
Professional, Christchurch
Graduates all get the same promotion (2 years) and it seems like first year professionals also get the same promotion. I think after your third year is when your performance determines your promotion.
Graduate, Auckland
it honestly doesn't sound very hopeful at all. I know people who work their asses off and go above and beyond but still don't get paid what they should
Graduate, Christchurch
Promotion from being a graduate is almost guaranteed after 2 years. After that its up to what the teams needs, you experience and how much you contribute.
Professional, Auckland
Get automatically promoted to professional after 2 years
Professional, Auckland
Within the graduate role you remain in your position for 2 years before mvoing into a professional role, which is pretty standard at most workplaces.
Graduate, Hamilton
For the first few years it seems to be a fairly linear process, especially in the graduate program
Graduate, Christchurch
As a graduate, as long as you complete each year of the program, you will progress towards promotion to professional. Performing well, for projects and with clients.
Graduate, Hamilton
It doesn't seem like there is a way to accelerate progress it is all very standardized
Graduate, Auckland
It is hard to move teams, and then getting experience in the team or field you want to work in. Therefore, hard moving up the ranks as I am not getting the experience I want.
Graduate, Auckland
I think its quite bad at the low levels, very rigid. But have seen good things after 3 years. I am very frustrated at the homogenous approach for everyone in the first 3 years.
Professional, Wellington
From what I have heard, promotions are highly dependent on your induvial team and are not hugely equitable
Graduate, Auckland
I am satisfied with the structure however the review after one year was a bit disappointing remuneration wise
Graduate, Christchurch
Our grad program is 2 years and then we get promoted to professional - then roughly after 5 years you get promoted to Senior. So the career progression is good just the PAY IS BAD
Graduate, Auckland
The graduate project has no wriggle room and is a set in stone two year program. I think this should be reassessed dependent on the overall graduates as some do a lot more than others.
Graduate, Wellington
After 2 years of being in the Graduate Programme, you will immediately be promoted to Professional, which I find really cool!
Graduate, Auckland
Working diligently and building up your connections with your peers and (most importantly) the graduate cohort you are with. It all helps when you are looking for a promotion in terms of recommendations by others along with positive feedback.
